Back from the BEACH
Greetings,
Kate and I have just returned from the first leg of our adventure. We took the train just like we lived 50 years ago! Kate was sure it was going to derail at points, but luckily she had a net to keep her in her bed! After a very long overnight journey on the train we made it to the beach which was the most amazing place. I can't even really begin to describe it, hopefully we will be able to post some pictures. Discovered life under the sea and found a new passion for scuba diving (one that Kate already knew she had)! The guidebook said that the downfall of our cabins was that there was no party scene - which we did not find a down fall at all. We had some amazing time to rejeuvenate just us, Jesus, the waves and all the creatures under the sea! We survived the craziest 4x4 bus ride of our lives last night. The night
'sleeping' bus started off with techno music and a blaring moving and ended with us leaving the road and driving through the ditch to get around a line up (in a coach might i add!). Anyhow we have now joined with our team and our spending the next couple of days praying and team building as we prepare for Garissa. Everyone on the team has high expectation - please pray for us that the Lord will cover us with a strong spirit of unity in the next few days. It is challenging as we are bringing together multiple cultures and languages! Must run. Blessings to you all
Heidi and Kate
