Embarking on an adventure

Welcome to what is about to become the main way I will be communicating with my friends and family over the next six weeks. I plan to post updates, stories, pictures and any other tidbits i discover while on my adventure through Africa - seeking to be closer to the heart of Jesus and give his love away. For all those who don't know her, may I introduce you to my dear friend, collegue and adventure partner Kate Vanwely (aka "dub", VW, V-dub, the dub etc"). I anticipate her name will come up alot as she is the person who will be with me for the whole trip. So put together a couple nurses, a couple backpacks, alot of medications and a heart for the poor, orphans,sick and hungry, a mustard see of FAITH and a trust and belief that Jesus is who he says he is... and you get - THE HEIDI AND KATE AFRICAN ADVENTURES! While we madly work our last hours at our jobs, and try to remember every last detail AND get ourselves on the plane on April 2 - please be praying for us that the Lord would prepare our hearts for all that he has in store for us... check back for as frequent as possible updates and post as many comments as you wish.
